JORDAN REEVES

Artistic Director

Jordan Reeves


Jordan is a New York based actor, director and fight choreographer. He is also the Artistic Director and a proud founding member of the Guerrilla Shakespeare Project. He has directed productions all over the country, from Maine to Florida, including Arthur Phillips' critically acclaimed new work The Tragedy of Arthur here in New York, for which he was nominated for an 'Outstanding Director' IT Award. Some of his favorite acting roles with Guerrilla include: Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew, Richard in Richard III, The Duke in Measure for Measure, and Valentine in Two Gentlemen of Verona. Regional Credits include: Trinity Repertory Company (Cyrano, Romeo and Juliet) Orlando Shakespeare Festival (Oedipus @ the Crossroads, Jack and the Beanstalk) New American Theatre (Three Musketeers, Arsenic and Old Lace) Deertrees Theater (LUV, Two for the Seesaw) and Weston Playhouse (To Kill A Mockingbird). Jordan holds an MFA in Acting from Brown University / Trinity Rep.

TOM SCHWANS

Tom Schwans


Tom is a founding member of GSP. Tom grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota and has acted and directed for theatres across the country. Tom received his Bachelor's degree from The Minnesota State University Moorhead and his MFA from Brown University/Trinity Rep. For six years, he served as The Associate Artistic Director and Director of Education for The Old Creamery Theatre Company. He also served as the Artistic Director to the Deertrees Theatre Festival in Maine. His teaching credits Qunnipiac University, Fairfield University, Southern Connecticut State University, Brown University, and several private clients in NYC. Favorite GSP roles include Brutus in Julius Caesar (Original GSP Production), The Bastard in King John, Lucio in Measure for Measure and Hortensio in Taming of the Shrew. Regional Acting & Directing Credits include: Trinity Repertory Theatre, Old Creamery Theatre, Black Hills Playhouse, Deertrees Theatre & Fairfield University.

Jordan Kaplan


Roles with GSP: King John, Taming of the Shrew, Measure for Measure and Two Noble Kinsmen. Jordan has performed with many New York City companies including Prospect Theater Company, Red Fern Theatre Company, Astoria Performing Arts Center, and the Hunger and Thirst Theatre Collective (where he is an Associate Artist). Regional: American Conservatory Theater, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Tennessee Shakespeare Company, Trinity Repertory Company, Stanford Summer Theater. Proud graduate of Stanford University and Brown/Trinity Rep. He would like to thank his friends and family for their unyielding support.

Jacques is a founding member and Producing Director of Guerrilla Shakespeare. With the GSP: The Tragedy of Arthur, Julius Caesar, Measure for Measure, Two Noble Kinsmen, King John and Taming of the Shrew. Other New York credits: From the Same Cloth (Fault Line Theatre); Weekend at an English Country Estate (ATEH Theater Group); A Great Place to be From (Babel Theatre Project); The Importance of Being Earnest (Counting Squares). Regional: Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Trinity Repertory Company, Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, American Players Theatre, and the Great River Shakespeare Festival. Film/TV: All My Children, The Louisiana Conversation and Stake Land. Training: BA from Macalester College and an MFA from Brown University / Trinity Rep.

DIANA BUIRSKI

Diana Buirski






Diana is honored to assist the Guerrilla Shakespeare Project with their fundraising and outreach efforts. Diana worked at Manhattan Theatre Club as the Individual Giving Associate and later served as the Manager of Individual Giving at the Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York. She is a participant in the Leadership U: One-on-One program, funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered by Theatre Communications Group, and she currently works with Managing Director Charles Varin at the Denver Center Theatre Company. Diana was also a founding member of Guerrilla Shakespeare and directed their 2009 production of The Two Noble Kinsmen.

LISA LEVY SHAUB

Lisa Levy Shaub




Lisa received her MFA in acting from Ohio University's Professional Actor's Training Program. She then moved to NYC where she co-founded Aegean Theatre Company, performeing in many shows over a 4 year span. She has also performed at The Hangar Theatre, The Cleveland Playhouse and the Pittsburgh Public Theater. Lisa currently owns and runs Illuminated Metropolis, an art gallery in Chelsea. She also works for Weight Watchers, International as a meeting leader and a coach to other meeting leaders. She is married to Eric and has two excellent, highly energetic boys, Noah and Gabriel. Lisa is so grateful to be even a small part of Guerrilla Shakespeare Project where she can feel connected to her first love, the theatre.
